Attendance expected at The Music Place is at least one private lesson per week for the duration of the academic year (see Studio Calendar 2009-10 below). Attendance during the summer session is optional but highly encouraged. Standard lessons are 45 minutes (1/2 hour lessons are advisable for beginning students only / ages 5-7 for the first year). Suggested lesson length for adults is 1 hour. Periodic group classes are also for 1 hour. Lessons are due payable in advance (upon receipt of a monthly invoice from The Music Place by mail), and payment is requested by the first lesson of each month. A two-lesson deposit per student is requested on signing of the Studio Contract for new students. This deposit is refundable upon each student's compliance with the policy guidelines. Registration takes place after completion of an intake interview(free of charge).
